A DECADE OF DATA BREACHES

data breach useData breaches are becoming widespread despite the undesirable impact of such activities on Organizations and Individuals. Millions of user accounts, personal, financial and work details, even health records keep popping up on the dark web putting Organizations, Clients and Account holders/Users at risk of loss. The global average cost of a data breach is currently projected as $3.62 million.
After extensive research into the world of data breaches, I have finally come up with this list of the most severe cases in the last decade, which affected not less than 40 million User Accounts. In my next post I’ll be reviewing some of these cases in order to disclose the lessons learnt from these attacks and what individuals must do to mitigate the impact of these breaches. For now here is a list of the top data breaches that have been verified.
